THU 4/2 : Juke Joint Ghost at Stage Coach (Chigasaki)
Once again, friends, JUKE JOINT GHOST is back at the wonderful Stage Coach in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, Japan. Samm Bennett on strings and vocal, Kousuke Miyashita on pedal steel guitar, and Naoya Numa on drums. Bringing you a mix of original tunes and cover tunes in a folk/country/blues/rock style.

SUN 4/19 : King Cake Baby at Catfish (Kamata)
King Cake Baby rides again, friends, at Catfish, a friendly blues/roots music venue in Kamata. We played there a coupla years back and enjoyed it immensely, and we're looking forward to this return visit. As ever, we'll be bringing that 2nd Line sound that you know you love, in the style of Professor Longhair, Dr John, the Meters, Huey "Piano" Smith, Fats Domino and others. Tunes straight outta the New Orleans repertoire like Tipitina, Basin Street Blues, Hey Pocky Way, Iko Iko and many many more, mixed in with our original tunes and other covers all in the rollicking Crescent City style. Matt Gillan on piano and backing vocals, Hisa Nakase on bass and backing vocals, with yours truly on drums and voice up front. Hope to see you there!

WED 4/22 : Samm Bennett SOLO, at "This&That #49" at BnA_Wall (Nihonbashi)
This&That Cafe is a long-running event hosted by TokyoDex, featuring music, performance and visual arts. I've been pleased to join the event on a few occasions over the years, and delighted to have been invited to perform in this upcoming installment. I'll be the first act up in the lineup for the evening, doing a set of songs and loops and such on the trusty 1-stringer, some jaw harp, and possibly a pig or chicken here or there. I'm on at at 8pm. Here's the lineup...
