SAT 2/20 : with poet/performer Marcellus Nealy
at miñangos(ミニャンゴス), Yokohama
reception start: 16:00
music start:18:00
entry: bring a bottle to share!
My multi-talented friend Marcellus Nealy, a poet/performer who I work with from time to time, is having an exhibition of his photography at Miñangos Gallery in Yokohama. He has asked me to perform at the opening reception, which I consider a great honor! It will mainly be my solo performance (using mostly the trusty one-string guitar), but I'll be joined by Marcellus for at least a couple of his brilliant spoken word forays. Come for the music AND the photography and also for what will certainly be a lively and friendly party atmosphere!

FRI 2/26 : MUD CHUCK BOBS (Yoshiki Sakurai and Samm Bennett)
at Soul Dama Tokyo, Asagaya, Tokyo
start: 20:00
entry: 2200 yen
Mud Chuck Bobs is my duo project with guitarist extraordinaire Sakurai Yoshiki (who some of you may know from his long-running and excellent American roots music band Lonesome Strings).
We'll be doing our particular take on *Americana*, which is to say, working with the roots but definitely extending the branches into some new territory.
