It's the "duo plus" version of the Smoke Benders, folks, and our guest member this time around is drummer Ikezawa Ryusuke.
The usual Smoke Bender bump and shuffle, holler and wail, with a new slant!. The venue is a friendly an intimate place and the barmaster is a HUGE music fan. A great little place to play music and to hear music. Some photos of the venue here. |

at CoZmo's Cafe, Shibuya, Tokyo
admission: 500 yen
Guitarist Hanna Nomura will bring his brand of blues rock and/or rock blues to the stage, and Samm
will be providing the beat. Rounding out the band will be bassist "Tossy". Hanna calls this monthly event that he organizes "Steady Groove". Should be reasonably agreeable drinking music!

This will be the third time for guitarist Sakurai Yoshiki (from Lonesome Strings)
to join the Benders onstage. Sakurai-san is one of the most soulful and inventive guitarists in Tokyo. That ain't opinion either, nuh-uh. Just fact.
And for those of you who don't know, the food at Barrelhouse is lovingly prepared and quite splendid.
