SAT 5/7 : SOLO, followed by open session
at Infinity Books, Asakusa, Tokyo - entry: Pass The Hat for music!
Samm solo: 20:00 to 20:50 - Acoustic session (bring instruments!) 21:00 to 22:30
I'll be doing one full set of solo songs on 1-string and 3-string guitars, plus some extra surprises. This is a "Folk Collective" event, and they always have open sessions after their featured performers. Apparently the session will be a Bob Dylan one. Dunno if Bobby himself will be showing up, but it oughtta be fun, nonetheless.

FRI 5/20 : MEDICINE BONE
at Cheshmeh, Sasazuka, Tokyo
20:00 start (2 full sets, or more?) entry: PASS THE HAT!
Time for summa that GOOD medicine, y'all. Ken Shima and I, aka Medicine Bone, will be bringing you the all-purpose tonic for your music-starved soul, at the very comfortable (tatami room, pillows everywhere, low lighting) CHESHMEH, located just a short walk from Sasazuka Station (Keio Line, one stop from Shinjuku, or Keio New Line, 3 stops from Shinjuku).
Come hear what we've been working up: honing and delving deeper into the Mississippi Hill Country blues style we love so much, but branching out into new musical areas as well. Dark and heavy, light and funny, and the places in between: we like to keep it rolling in different directions. Come on out and roll with us!
There is no entry charge, it'll be PASS THE HAT for the music you enjoy. There is a full selection of beer, wine, spirits, and real nice natural food prepared lovingly by the friendly staff. The venue is strictly non-smoking, and very casual. Kick back! Take your shoes off!

Time once again, Tokyo friends, to sail down that Mississippi River down to deepest New Orleans, and join your local purveyors of fine Mardi Gras-inspired music, KING CAKE BABY for an evening of sonic delight.
