Photo dates from 1930, byHugo Adolf Bernatzik, anthropologist and photographer

This beautiful old photograph is from the 1894 Chicago World's Fair, aka the World Columbian Exposition. 
The drummer is Abou Bakr Ghindi, who represented the Sudan at the fair.
