The legendary Jeff Buckley's New Year's offering
A New Year has come, but Mary Harris is still feelin' the same old way.

On page one of Songs About the New Year we heard the original version of this song, but here's Ella's: like only she can deliver.
This curious little New Years number has a pretty interesting and somewhat unlikely lineup: first off, it's written by the great Randy Newman. Singer Beverley Martyn is accompanied by pianist Nicky Hopkins (Rolling Stones, Kinks, etc.), Led Zepplin's John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page, and Andrew "Andy" White, a Scottish drummer, best known for replacing Ringo Starr on drums on The Beatles' first single, "Love Me Do". Released 1966. Wow.
Roosevelt Sykes has a few New Years resolutions. He's gonna quit drinking and gambling, and start praying. Yeah, right.
