Wind-up Drummer Toys, Page 3
Hello friends, Samm Bennett here. On this page I've collected a number of wind-up drummer toys. Clowns, soldiers, monkeys, robots, rabbits and more. They all get wound up and then they do a little drumming. That's all. I'm not a toy historian or expert, not at all. I just happen to love wind-up drummer toys. Maybe just cause I'm a drummer and, sure, I get wound up every now and again...
Obviously some of these toys embody, to varying degrees, offensive racial stereotypes. My including them in this collection should in no way be seen as any kind of personal endorsement of said stereotypes. But leaving them out of the collection would serve no purpose beyond ignoring historical reality, which, ideally, we should all be aware of, in my humble opinion.
Note: some of these might actually be pull toys or battery operated toys. The vast majority of them are wind-ups, though.

NOTE: This and all the other galleries here at my website feature images or historical items I find worthy of interest in one way or another, and I hope you will find something(s) here that interest you as well. I spend a great deal of time collecting and compiling these materials, which you are free to enjoy at your leisure. Should you want to support me in these efforts, and/or my musical efforts which you'll find plenty of here at the website, I do hope you'll consider making a donation (however small!) via PayPal to help sustain these activities. The PayPalMe link is HERE. Thanks!
Oh noes! I dropped my drum!
