"Junk bluesman and rhythmic refusenik" Samm Bennett! Appearing tonight! As well as DJ sets from newly minted DJ duo Haru & Kaname. And regular FASHION CRISIS DJs Ian Martin and James Hadfield will fill in the cracks with the usual diet of Yugoslavian post-punk, jangle-pop, psycho cumbia and 78rpm cracklecore.
Head out the south exit of Koenji Station and go right until you reach the covered shopping arcade called Pal. Head down Pal and just after Village Vanguard, turn right. Go past the Seiyu and Bar One is on the right, in the basement of a building just after the 7-11.

at Bar Isshee, Shibuya, Tokyo
Smoke Benders is the funky, free form groove unit of Samm, Takaoka Daysuke and Naoya Numa, but every so often the band appears as a duo. This time around it's Samm and Daysuke, offering up tasty servings of tuba and drum/diddley bow jams, topped off with Samm's characteristically southern-fried falsetto wail, as ever!
20:00 - 23:00 - admission is pass the hat style, pay as you're able!

at FCCJ (Foreign Correspondent's Club of Japan)
I'll be providing rhythmic backup (talking drum! washboard! other stuff!) and the occasional backing vocal for the Man from Mississippi himself, blues maestro extraordinaire Steve Gardner.
The FCCJ is, well, kinda one of those places that if you're not a member, you can't get in. I think. Anyway, those of you who know about the place, or are members or whatever... come on down! We play from 6:30 to 9:00.

damn good on that thing), and I'll be there to provide rhythmic support.
